Please read out loud at home to your child:
Wear your undergarments underneath your street clothes to rehearsal.
Remove your street clothes when you get to rehearsal/show.
Before putting on your costume, a technician will attach your mic belt and headset. DO NOT PUT YOUR COSTUME ON BEFORE YOUR MIC BELT (unless instructed to do so)
After your mic is on, change into your costume
After your costume is on, you will wait in the dressing room until called to the stage for a sound check
After rehearsal you will LEAVE YOUR CHARACTER SHOES in the dressing room at OYES.
PLEASE ARRIVE WITH YOUR UNDERGARMENTS ALREADY ON.
Never touch the mics.
The only person(s) permitted to adjust or remove the mic on the actor's face or the pack in their belt is a MIC TECHNICIAN.
Any accidental damage to a mic by mishandling (or dropping) can cost $$$ to replace.
Never touch the mic on your face, tug on the wire, or touch the pack in your mic belt.
It is important to remember that absences are not permitted during tech week. Cast members are expected to attend all rehearsals they are called for unless prior approval has been given. Any absences from tech rehearsal can disrupt the planning, timing, and efficiency of the rehearsal process.
Finally, please remember that a musical is a living, breathing entity! Things don’t always go exactly as planned, so changes to the plan may be made during the rehearsal process. We promise to give you as much advance notice as possible on all changes that arise.
(OPEN)
Q: Can I add more schedule conflicts later?
No. All conflicts must be added by Auditions. Additional conflicts may only be added with permission from the Director.
Q: Are conflicts listed here considered "excused absences"?
Yes
Q: What if I or my child is sick or there's an emergency?
Emergency or Sick-Days are excused.
Unavailability for rehearsals can seriously affect rehearsal planning. We can not add conflicts later. All conflicts are due before the first rehearsal. If the actor misses a rehearsal that is planned around their scheduled availability, it is the actors responsibility to "catch up". Private rehearsal time with the directors is $45/hr.
Please, no additional conflicts (planned absences) or changes in availability after the first rehearsal. The rehearsal schedule will be set and all actors will be expected to attend as planned. Thank you :)
